Polymarket Leaderboard — Trader Rankings

Six lifetime metrics per Polymarket wallet: realised PnL from trading, total volume traded, plus four reward streams — LP rewards, maker rebates, referral payouts, and yield (daily pUSD float interest). The main table sorts wallets by Total Earnings (PnL + all rewards combined); category cards above the table surface top earners in each reward type individually.

Polymarket's public data API (data-api.polymarket.com/v1/leaderboard) — it returns each wallet's lifetime realised PnL and cumulative USDC trading volume, computed Polymarket-side with PositionRedemption and fees already accounted for. We don't recompute; we mirror what polymarket.com itself shows on the trader's profile page.

On-chain Transfer events on Polygon. We scan four Polymarket distributor wallets (one per programme: LP / maker rebates / referrals / yield) and aggregate every USDC / pUSD payout per recipient. Numbers are raw event sums with system addresses (the pUSD contract, USDC.e contract, Disperse.app, zero address) filtered out before ranking.

Click the PnL column header twice to switch to ascending order — wallets with the most negative lifetime PnL float to the top. The rank shown for each row stays global (their position in the overall Total Earnings ranking, often near the very bottom for big losers), so you see both their loser standing in this view AND their true platform standing.

Lifetime PnL plus all reward income — total = pnl + lp + maker + referral + yield. A wallet that traded poorly but earned big LP rewards can still have positive Total; a trader who's never received any reward but has $5M PnL will rank by their pure trading profit. Total is the column most users actually care about — it answers "how much has this wallet made on Polymarket in total?".

Reward data syncs once a day at 02:00 UTC — 1.5 hours after Polymarket's distribution window — and the leaderboard view refreshes automatically when that cron finishes. PnL and Volume refresh weekly via the Polymarket trader-registry job (new wallets get backfilled then). The "last sync" indicator in the page header shows the actual freshness in real time.

Of every wallet we've synced PnL data for, roughly 30% are net profitable and 70% are net loss-making — the exact split is shown in the Platform totals block beside this FAQ, updated each refresh. The pattern matches the long-running profitability split in retail forex, CFDs, and option trading: a small minority wins large, the majority loses small to moderate amounts. To see the winners, sort the main table by PnL descending; for the biggest losers, sort PnL ascending. Distributor wallets and other system addresses are excluded before computing PnL — these aren't real traders.

Polymarket's official leaderboard caps at the top 1,050 traders and only ranks by PnL or volume. Ours covers every wallet ever observed on-chain (2.2M+ and growing) and adds four reward dimensions Polymarket doesn't surface at all — LP, maker, referral, yield.
